Kisii County Government has inaugurated the Kisii County Land Management Board.

The six member board to be chaired by Mr. James Ombasa Omweno will work with the National Land Commission to streamline issues regarding land acquisition and ownership in Kisii County among other responsibilities.

Speaking during the swearing in ceremony of the board members, H.E Deputy Governor Joash Maangi called on the board to hasten the process of reclaiming public land acquired irregularly by individuals and companies.

Formulation of this board is one of the measures the County Government has put in place to achieve better management of public land.
