H.E Governor Ongwae today held a consultative meeting between the Kisii County Government and the Business Community in a bid to rationalize issues and get the best middle ground on matters surrounding the Finance Bill.

This follows the withdrawal of court applications by the County government to pave way for amicable settlement of matters and allow for negotiations with the petitioners led by former mayor Samuel Omwando.

Earlier, Ongwae had indicated that it is not the desire of the County Government to win cases against its citizen but to embrace everyone and move forward as one united County.

The meeting was constituted of representatives from the County Executive, County Assembly and the Business Community.

Speaking during the meeting, Governor Ongwae called on the stakeholders to set aside selfish interests, ambitions and political differences and instead redirect the energies towards making Kisii County a better place.
