Kisii County Government salutes the Japanese government for its contribution in the improvement of infrastructure at the KTRH

The Kisii County Government salutes the Japanese government for its contribution in the improvement of infrastructure at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital.

Through the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japanese Government built the inpatient and outpatient complex at the Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) at a cost of KShs.770 million.

The building was commissioned on June 24th 2012 by former President Hon. Mwai Kibaki and the then Japanese Ambassador to Kenya Toshihisa Takata.

It houses a specialized clinic, theatres, a maternity unit, the new born unit, the High Independency Unit (HDU), the causality department and a diagnostic centre.

The project was done in partnership between Japanese and Kenyan Governments.

The Kenyan Government through the ministry of health constructed a fence, walkway, guard house and signage at a cost of KShs.46 million.

As a County Government, we continually seek partnerships and collaborations with local and international agencies to initiate projects that enhance service delivery to the people.
