Persons living with disabilities in South Mugirango Sub County have a reason to smile after they received wheel chairs, crutches and blind sticks from the Kisii County Lions Club.
Governor James Ongwae a founder member of the club donated the mobility kits to the beneficiaries at Tabaka DEB Primary school in Tabaka ward.
Ongwae said he has their interests at heart adding that the program will be rolled out to all wards.
During the occasion, primary school girls also received sanitary towels to enable them stay in school all days.
Members including Kisii First Lady Elizabeth Ongwae, Executive Members Mrs Sarah Omache (Health), Mrs Peris Onsarigo (Administration and Corporate Services and Stakeholder Management), Moses Onderi (Lands, Physical Planning and Urban Development), David Kombo (Chairman Kisii County Public Service Board), Leader of Minority Apepo Ombasa were among senior officers who attended the function.
